Our Thank You Letters
These are a few letters and feedback left to Angel Bears of Hope
Shelley Lee St. Jude
I would like to extend our most sincere thanks for the donation of angel bears. They brought many so smiles to children’s faces and made some rough days a little nicer. The kids really enjoyed choosing their favorite one. We are so thankful for people such as you that make the day to day battle of cancer a little easier for the kids. The angel bears are a reminder that they are loved and remembered during the most difficult battle they have ever faced. The children here at St. Jude really appreciate being remembered. Some of their treatment protocols last up to three years. It gets really tiresome to come every week for medicines that make them feel sick. The road to health takes time and patience. Any act of compassion from others makes the journey a little easier.
Thank you for choosing to donate to St. Jude

On behalf of the Child Life Program at the University of lowa Children’s Hospital I want to thank you once again for your generous donation of Angel Bears ot Hope! I have attached a picture and want to share a story of what happened when we received the donation. As the arrived, l was talking in the lobby area with one of our long term patients who was awaiting an appointment where she feared she was going to receive bad news regarding her illness. This teenager has been through many trials and hospitalizations over the last few years that have greatly affected her ability to live life like a normal teen. She has been feeling very sad, frustrated and hopeless lately. As she began to cry, l opened the box immediately and gave her an Angel Bear of Hope and suggested she give it a hug and let it comfort her. Her tears turned to a smile and she absolutely loved getting the Angel Bear of Hope! it is stories like this that make an impact on chiidren’s iives and we are most appreciative that our patients benefit from your amazing program. Have a great day!

Thank you so much for the blankets that were donated to our oncology patients at Advocate Children’s Hospital - Oak Lawn. The patients who are treated at the Keyser Center were so excited to look through all of them to find a unique one to take home after a long day or after a scary procedure. It is such a comforting item for patients to be able to use while in the hospital as well. Your donation has definitely put smiles on the faces of our patients, as well as their parents. Once again, thank you so much for your generous donation.

Thank you for the ongoing contribution of Angel Bears to our Childrens hospital in MN. The pediatric chaplains use these bears with our population. As a chaplain on a bone marrow transplant unit I make a special effort to “gift” a Child at the time of a blessing service that occurs before he/she is transplanted. Many of our patients continue to keep their bear on their bed or beside them through procedures, illness and surgeries. The parents are very grateful for the added comfort item for their child. lt is a wonderful service and We appreciate the gifts of bears, but more so the patients are duly comforted by them. Many blessings and prayers to all who contribute so generously.
